What We Do
The Junior Elites Golf Program for girls age 7 to 17, was established under the Elite Ladies of Expression, Inc. umbrella in partnership with Sunnyside Place Community Development, Inc. to mentor and instill traits that strengthens character, increases self-esteem, and promotes sportsmanship.
The Peoples Coalition (TPC) recognizes that first-time arrests may not always stem from willful disregard of the law. To address this, the "TPC Diversion Program" offers an alternative sentencing option, helping first-time offenders avoid a criminal record and incarceration.
Ex-offenders face an uphill battle after release from incarceration. However, their best hope of avoiding recidivism is to obtain steady employment that pays a living wage and can serve as a foundation for putting their lives back together. This is not easy because many employers are hesitant to hire ex-offenders. An ailing economy makes matters even more challenging.
The Peoples Coalition (TPC) partners with community agencies to provide mental health treatment. After an initial screening by TPC's staff psychologist, clients are referred to local facilities based on their individual needs.
The Peoples Coalition connects participants to local resources, counseling, and support services for homelessness. Partnering with Houston-area programs, TPC helps secure emergency, short-term, transitional, or permanent housing for both male and female participants.
The Peoples Coalition (referred to as TPC) realizes that there may be reasons why someone faces their first arrest and possible conviction for a crime which do not always include willful disregard of the law and authority.
